2021 SA Heroine Award
The awards ceremony was first held in 2012 at the Ilanga Estate, Bloemfontein and the foundation, Heroines Awards, was established in 2010 in Tshwane. “My move to the Free State changed the business side of it to charity.” The awards ceremony has been hosted on and off in the Free State for eight years up to 2020 when it was held in Sandton, Gauteng.
The awards is to honour, celebrate and recognise women who are unknowingly changing the lives of others. “We used the word ‘heroine’ because it identifies a woman of courage, a selfless woman and who has super quality powers to help others without recognition.
Congratulations for our Executive Producer Ms Dipolelo “Aunty D” Hou for winning 2021 SA Heroine Award – Unsung Heroine in Women & Community Empowerment and our Executive Director Mr Chief Leeuw for winning 2021 SA Heroine Award – Man of Honor.

South Africa just made history for having the first representatives in Miss Plus World and Ms Plus Intercontinental pageants in Atlanta, Georgia, USA under the leadership of Mr Chief Leeuw (National Director – Miss South Africa Plus World) in 2018. With the current climate of the nation, it is critical that we build communication and engage in open dialogue with women from across the nations. Its Executive Staff is dedicated to elevating and celebrating the accomplishments and humanitarian services of “women of equity” while building a sisterhood of confident and influential ladies who share their cultures as they promote education, peace, wellness and community service. The Miss South Africa Plus World Pageant is a system of integrity and character. Public use of profanity is absolutely prohibited. It is our expectation that our delegates/finalist and queens display the highest levels of character.
